I’ll be talking about the story I tell in Declaration (and probably intro-ing yet again with “The Cuckoo” on banjo) at the National Archives. It’s at noon — yes, noon — next Wednesday, July 14, in the Jefferson Room (nice), 700 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW (Seventh/Ninth Streets), Washington, D.C.
I love the building, Hoover-era grandiose yet depressing, feels like the Daily Planet or something. I spent time there running down old Congressional records for The Whiskey Rebellion. Assuming people really come to noontime talks, the event should be fun.
Tangentially related: the Kansas City Public Library has posted some photos from my talk there last week. What a good room.
